Ranked Play is finally live in Black Ops 6 allowing users to compete to achieve the highest rank possible. This competitive ladder offers matches with the CDL competitive rules and map set, mimicking the highest level of competition.

The mode offers exclusive rewards as incentives to players for grinding and climbing. Here is everything you need to know about the mode before jumping in.

How to unlock Ranked Play?

If Ranked Play is blocked for you, that means you haven't met the one requirement to be able to play it. Players need to have 50 wins in multiplayer matches before being able to access this mode.

This new requirement was implemented this year, substituting the reach level 55 requirement seen last year with Modern Warfare 3.
Ranks

Just like in previous years, Ranked Play features eight ranks for players to place in. Here is the list of ranks along with the SR range for each one:

    Bronze – Starting Rank
    Silver – 900 SR
    Gold – 2,100 SR
    Platinum – 3,600 SR
    Diamond – 5,400 SR
    Crimson – 7,500 SR
    Iridescent – 10,000 SR
    Top 250 – 10,000+ SR

Each tier except for Iridescent and Top 250 has three tiers (Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III) and you progress through them in ascendant order as you gain SR.

At the start of every season, your rank can be affected depending on the rank you ended the previous one. Bronze and Silver players won't receive any changes and remain in the same rank.

Gold and Platinum players will start on Tier I of their respective rank. Lastly, players from Diamond or above will start the new season at Diamond Tier I.

Rules and format

Ranked Play features the three competitive game modes: Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and Control. This is the first official map set, along with the modes for each one:

Keep in mind that the map set can change as the year progresses, with the CDL adding new maps from the post-launch seasons to keep things fresh.

Ranked Play features the same rules as the CDL, which you can check on the official page here. The only difference is on the weapon bans, as Treyarch will update these to reflect what the pro players decide to ban through the GAs (Gentleman Agreements).

GAs are basically talked contracts between the pro-player community where they agree to block certain items, but they are not banned on the official ruleset from the CDL.

The mode will have career rewards, which you can earn by completing a certain milestone or reaching a rank, and seasonal rewards, which change every season.
