The Middle East is a region where automobile is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually pushed up the rate of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.
In an area that has among the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one company is taking benefit of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
